Load CUE frequency of the net tobe entered. Set CHAN to CUE, andFCTN to LD.b. Load MAN frequency of the net tobe entered. Set CHAN to MAN,leaving FCTN at LD.c. Set RF Power to HI for manpackand PA for vehicular radio.d. Set COMSEC toe. Set CHAN to CUE. Press PTT for4 - 5 seconds.f.Then AT ONCE, set COMSEC toCT and wait for a response.g. Repeat after 15 seconds until CUE call is answered. For each try, gototo send CUE and CT to receive reply.NOTECUE call goes through only when the net is quiet. Because you donot know when the net is quiet, the solution is to repeat your CUEcall until you get an answer.h.When your CUE call is answered, wait for instructions from the NCS/Alt NCSregarding net entry and receiving an ERF.i.Once the ERF is stored, you are ready to enter the net.2-46
