DECODER/TIMER (7A3).
The decoder/timer performs several functions:
It generates all required clock signals.
it decodes microcontroller outputs.
It provides an I/O interface between the microcontroller and the other modules.
Figure 6-3 is a block diagram of the decoder/timer.
