FFCS: CONTROLS AND INDICATORS
WARNING
DISCONNECTING OR BYPASSING THE VEHICULAR
INTERCOMMUNICATION SYSTEM (VIS) ALARM CABLE CONNECTED TO
THE DRIVER'S FULL FUNCTION CREW STATION (FFCS) BY THE
VEHICLE CREWMAN IS PROHIBITED. SUCH ACTION MAY RESULT IN
INJURY OR DEATH. EQUIPMENT DAMAGE MAY ALSO RESULT. THIS
CABLE ENABLES THE VEHICLE HAZARD WARNING TONES TO BE
INSERTED DIRECTLY INTO THE INTERCOM SYSTEM, SO THAT THESE
WARNING TONES CAN BE INSTANTLY HEARD BY ALL OF THE VEHICLE
CREWMEMBERS. ONLY THE UNIT MAINTAINER IS AUTHORIZED TO
REMOVE AND REPLACE THE ALARM CABLE. REFER TO THE
APPROPRIATE VIS TECHNICAL PUBLICATIONS FOR OPERATOR,
INSTALLATION, AND MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS.
